Sessions (Fall/Winter/Spring)
If you’re a student looking for a part‑time job during the school year, this opportunity is perfect for you. LUDIC offers seasonal activity sessions in the fall, winter, and spring. Activities take place on Saturdays for youth aged 12 to 18 and 18 to 21, and on Sundays for participants aged 5 to 18. Depending on the season, sessions run for 6 to 10 weeks.

Summer Day Camp
In addition to our year‑round programming, we also run a summer day camp. You can join us as a support worker, activity leader, or care attendant. The camp runs for six weeks, from July to August. Please note that mandatory training sessions take place on weekends in June.
Job Opportunities
RECREATION FACILITATOR
Tasks:
- Support young people with special needs (ASD, language disorders, motor difficulties, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, etc.) as they participate in day camp activities.
- Provide adapted support to participants (ratios from 1:1 to 1:7) and take part in activity planning.
- Ensure activities run smoothly and adjust interventions according to each young person’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with the camp team and administrative staff.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with the team to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
- Promote the integration and active participation of young people in camp activities.
- Supervise participants and ensure their safety at all times.
- Use adapted strategies and tools to encourage engagement and personal growth.
- Build trusting relationships with participants and support their well‑being.
- Foster self‑esteem and enjoyment by responding to their needs with care and empathy.
- Intervene in case of conflict and encourage harmonious interactions.
- Perform any other related tasks as needed, according to camp requirements and coordination guidelines.
Required Profile:
- A strong interest in supporting young people with special needs.
- A sense of responsibility, autonomy, dynamism, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Sensitivity to differences and a commitment to inclusion for youth with special needs.
- Experience working with young people with special needs, an asset.
- Experience in activity leadership or facilitation, an asset.
- Training or studies in a related field (special education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, school adaptation, psychoeducation, psychology, etc.), an asset.
- First aid and CPR certification, an asset.
- DAFA certification, an asset.
- Able to speak French
ACTIVITY ANIMATOR
Tasks:
- Lead adapted activities for young people with special needs (ASD, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, language or motor difficulties, etc.).
- Prepare and facilitate activities based on the themes of the session or camp, while adapting to support ratios (1:1 to 1:7).
- Ensure the supervision, safety, and well‑being of participants.
- Encourage participation and support the integration of all youth in the activities.
- Build trusting relationships with participants and foster their self‑esteem.
- Work collaboratively with the team.
- Attend meetings and maintain effective communication.
- Manage conflicts and adapt interventions to the needs of the participants.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
Required Profile:
- Relevant experience in activity facilitation or education with young people with special needs, ideally in a day camp or recreational setting.
- Creativity and adaptability, with the ability to design engaging activities tailored to participants’ needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Autonomy, dynamism, and a strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to remain calm when managing urgent situations.
- Studies in a related field are an asset (special education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, school adaptation, psychoeducation, psychology, etc.).
- First aid and CPR certification, an asset.
- DAFA certification, an asset.
- Able to speak French
LIFEGUARD (DURING ACTIVITY SESSIONS ONLY)
Tasks:
- Ensure the safety of swimmers during activities.
- Enforce all pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain the facilities and keep the environment clean and safe.
- Divide the shallow end of the pool using the designated lane cable before each swimming session.
- Supervise participants and ensure their safety and well‑being at all times.
- Attend meetings and maintain effective communication with the team.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
- Provide first aid when needed.
- Be available for the full duration of the session.
Required Profile:
- National Lifeguard certification from the Lifesaving Society or an equivalent valid certification.
- Interest in working with children and youth with learning difficulties.
- Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Able to speak French
CARE ATTENDANT (ONLY DURING SUMMER DAY CAMP)
Tasks:
- Provide personal care support to participants with special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder, language difficulties, motor challenges, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, etc.).
- Be responsible for diaper changes for participants who require them, ensuring they remain clean, comfortable, and treated with dignity throughout the day.
- Assist participants with changing clothes and dressing, while respecting their individual needs.
- Support participants during meals and hydration, helping them eat and drink according to their specific requirements.
- Take part in outings and accompany participants safely.
- Ensure the well‑being and specific needs of each child are met.
- Build trusting relationships with participants.
- Maintain clear communication with other staff members and administrative personnel.
- Attend team meetings.
- Respond appropriately to the needs of the participants.
- Perform end‑of‑day cleaning tasks (sweeping, wiping surfaces, emptying garbage bins, etc.).
- Carry out any other tasks related to the role or requested by camp coordination.
Required Profile:
- Availability for the full six weeks of the day camp.
- Diploma or studies in a related field, an asset (e.g., personal support work, disability care, nursing, etc.).
- Respect for the privacy and dignity of participants.
- Experience working with young people with special needs.
- Key qualities: sense of responsibility, autonomy, empathy, and strong teamwork skills.
- Sensitivity to differences and a commitment to inclusion.
- Ability to provide individualized support.
- First aid and CPR certification, an asset.
- Able to speak French
